1. Warranty Scope

This Lifetime Warranty applies to domestic air conditioning systems purchased from and installed by AFA Air. The warranty covers defective components and workmanship for the lifetime of the system, subject to the terms below.

2. Warranty Period

The Lifetime Warranty remains in effect from the date of installation until any of the following occur:

  • Replacement parts for the equipment are no longer available from the manufacturer or alternative suppliers
  • Ownership of the equipment changes (warranty is non-transferable)
  • The AirShepherd Cloud Subscription is discontinued
  • The customer fails to meet the responsibilities outlined in Section 6

3. Monitoring & Support Subscription

To maintain the Lifetime Warranty, customers must maintain an active AirShepherd Cloud Subscription:

  • First year included with installation
  • Annual subscription fee, paid yearly (subject to CPI adjustments)
  • Subscription includes all servicing needs
  • Continuous monitoring and early issue detection

4. Warranty Coverage

Under this warranty, AFA Air will repair or replace defective components at no cost to the customer. This includes parts and labour for diagnosed faults covered under the warranty scope.

5. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • External electrical supply issues
  • Damage from misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modifications
  • Damage from storms, fire, flood, or other natural disasters
  • Normal weathering and cosmetic deterioration
  • Consumable items (filters, batteries)
  • Issues caused by third-party interference with the system

6. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, customers must:

  • Follow manufacturer instructions for system operation
  • Regularly clean or replace air filters as recommended
  • Maintain clear access to the outdoor unit (minimum clearance around condenser)
  • Keep the condensate drain clear and functional
  • Maintain an active AirShepherd Cloud Subscription
  • Allow AFA Air technicians access for scheduled and responsive maintenance

7. Limitation of Liability

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components. AFA Air will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the warranted equipment. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law.
